Ice Cream Friday
A lovely Friday afternoon got even better today when the exceptionally generous Nick Kelvin shouted us some summer refreshment in the form of ice lollies. This was the first one of the season and much appreciated. Ice creams and Ice Lollies really are one of those things that you absolutely love no matter if you’re 7 or 77.
From that I wanted to get a steer on what people’s Top 3 Ice Cream/Lollies were of all time. For me, it has to be the following:
1. Orange Calippo
2. Feast (original of course)
3. Fab
For me that is one hell of a Top 3 but please feel free to post your Top 3 as well, as I’m sure a few of you will be annoyed by the exclusion of Mini Milks!

I’ve heard some people used to get told as a child that the music from an ice-cream van meant they had run out of ice-cream! Truly cruel!
Anyway, my favourite, in no particualr order…
- new Magnum Temptation, for proper grown up chocolate indulgence
- mini milks
- good old 99
I’ve just had an amazing idea for homemade cava ice lollies – would that work? Might give it a go this weekend!

Well.. To be honest fab was always a cheap immatation of the wonderful ‘nobbly bobbly’. Fabs dont even have that much chocolate. It’s all about the chocolate. So when you get it all down your new white shirt and it stains, you will always think ahhh yeah. Good times, good times.
Nobbly Bobbly is definitely up there along with the classic feast. But pure bliss has to be a Magnum white. Ahhh yeahhhhhh
Is it just me or did anyone used to experience the parents stealing excuse? I always remember having a 99 cone and my dad just saying. I need to lick the icecream so that it doesn’t drip everywhere. Now only to realise it was complete and utter nonsense. And worst of all, I always managed to drop the cadburys flake. So by then I was left with a half soggy cone and a pathetic way to end my what was meant to be a happy icecream experience. Bad times.
Share your memories!

Twister. Nuff said.
